    • Something that I have been wondering is whether someone who hasn’t gone to art school or undergone years of foundation training be considered an artist.

      Personally, I think the essence of good art is that it should represent or express a distinctive way of viewing the world from the artist point of view. Certain skills are required to achieve this. However, skills and techniques are only tools but not the essence.

    • I dont agree. I think art is human expression. And I dont think there is a certain requirement for thsi expression. I think anyone can create art. And whether the art is good or not is whether other people can relate or find the significance in their expression. So thats why some ugly or simple art can also be good art.
